Crashing wave - new painting
A new small painting that was in the works before I went to the Ansel Adams lectures. Came back to the studio, strengthened the point/line of contrast, put in more titanium white and a lot more gold.
It's nearly done, just a few subtle glazes to do to eliminate some of the brushstroke evidence. No name yet, but it's acrylic on canvas, 50cm x 60cm, and is part of the New Jersey waves along with Contend and Resound.

The light you achieve never fails to amaze me - so much beauty. Just lovely....
BTW very interested in your spray trials. I saw someone using Liquitex acrylic spray recently and it seemed to have interesting properties that 'normal' spray don't. And low odour too I think?
